September

Its amazing how many people I know that have birthdays on this month. I surprisingly remember all of em. I'm not a very good person to go to if you want to ask "omg when is his/her birthday". I'm just forgetful >< I've found a way to remember now though. LOL Apparently, I also suck badly at writing birthday cards. My dad has always asked me to write new year/christmas cards for our relatives and he thinks I'm not serious when I do it but I actually am, I'm just terrible at it. My handwriting goes all off. My words slant. Sometimes on the cover I can't even position the name right in the middle. Like when you sign off, do you put From XXX, or just XXX which is your name of course. I just put down my name, I dunno, it just seems wierd with the " From " there. I'm glad some of my friends don't give a crap about cards at all. Like Hy, I just bought him a T-shirt, told my dad to wrap it and just gave it to him. Yeah I ask my dad to wrap my presents because I can't do it. I'm terrible at all these kinds of things. Sure I know what to buy for what person but when it comes to this I'm lost.

After you've known someone for awhile, you know what to get them. You know exactly what to get them, its not like you've been planning it, the idea just comes right to you. I would get really nice presents for girls that I like but so far I've only done it once. I get good presents for my close friends too, they're too awesome to not do that for them. Most of the time its like we share presents or sometimes I just casually ask them what they want. I mean you don't have to be so serious about surprising them. If a friend came up to me and asked "Hey, what do you want, " I wouldn't blame them for it. Sometimes its just better to get them what they want I guess. Like for Muthu, I asked him whether he liked the albums at HMV. Andrew and I got them for him and he liked it, so damn simple.

So I had dinner with my dad yesterday, I'd be one of the first to say that I like having dinner with my dad. He brings me to random places which are awesome. Well, yesterday it was Tony Romas, nothing special though. Stupid beef ribs were too little and too expensive. Went to that gourmet supermarket J.A.S.O.N.S again, they were clearing stock of Miller Lite which came in those glass bottles. Only cost like 2 bucks a bottle so he told me to pick up like 5 of it since it was so cheap.

Went to Inokii to see Sam. Kinda felt bad that I told him to reserve 2 CDs for me and I never got back to him until now. Bought both of em, they're really good. Its like just purely intstrumental. One of them is by the son of Blackmore, who's the guitarist of Deep Purple. So yeah, you know its gonna be good.

_

Have you ever felt different after stepping out of the cinema. For example you feel like a particular character in that movie. Its just a random thought.

Classes start in less than a week. I'm not surprised I'd feel slightly depressed for the first week due to 6 weeks away from campus. Glad I can finally meet and talk to some of my friends that I haven't seen in a month or so. That's whats been keeping me going all this while, my friends. I signed up for the Discovering Music elective module yesterday. Finally I get to know some theory behind what I've been playing all this while.

Last Monday, I thought I'd drop by Excelsior Shopping Centre to meet up with this guy to buy a Whammy pedal for like 200 bucks. Firstly, he worked at Guitar 77. Secondly, the pedal looked like crap. He described it as "minor dents" when it looked like a car ran over it. He seemed so impatient while I was talking to him too. If you want to sell something, you wouldn't sell it in that condition for 200. It'd definitely be cheaper. He even said "It won't spoil lah, I used it for gigs, thats why its so dented." Yeah I'm sure during a gig you probably dropped the bloody thing 10 times. Guitar 77 has one of the most insincere staff I have ever seen. I would rather fly to America to get my Shecter than buy it from them. Fuck that man, a month back I asked for an item which was sold out and they laughed and gladly said "Come back in 2 weeks or one month's time". A shop with that kind of response will never get my money. Not fucking ever.

I'm just blogging as I wait to sign up for my elective modules online which start at 2. I have this sudden liking for old movies. Watched scarface last week, it was pretty awesome. Its like a 3 hours show. Its about this 1 guy's life and it shows how he goes from the bottom to the top of the drug industry. Gotta go find more old movies to watch for the weeks ahead.
MTV seems to be getting more retarded as the years come. I'm starting to hate the channel. They show videos where the guitarist is not even really playing. He's just acting like he's playing and its annoying. Its how their hands move so damn slowly as if they play 1 note every 30 seconds. The new bands are nothing compared to the old ones. Don't really appreciate the new kind of music anymore. There are too many bands out there and all they do is copy the melodies from their influences. I mean its nothing wrong but its getting boring as everything gets repeated. Take for example Walking Disaster by Sum 41, its in their new album. It sounds like a song that MEST might play.

There has been nothing to do for the past week, just slacking at home, watching tv and doing my own stuff. Just relaxing while waiting for the new semester to begin.

The Funeral For A Friend concert was a blast. The crowd was around 500, pretty small crowd. Andrew and I managed to find spots on the balcony, we arrived the latest and yet we found only a few people standing on the balcony. I mean like, we got a perfect view of the stage and the band, it was awesome. One of the best concerts I've been to, definitely better than Fall Out Boy. Yeah so I watched that rat movie with Muthu and Lk. After that we went to Tony Romas. Hahaha. I knew they would enjoy the ribs there! =P Lk was saying how much he enjoyed the damn sauce. He even smelt his fingers on the MRT. I was like ERRRRRRR...LOL!!!!!!!!!!

"Fuck work, I'm going home to relax" - Lk

Caution: Awesome ribs may cause people to slack.

Monday

Went out with Hy today. Kinda caught up a bit on stuff in our lives. Hy lost his phone then got a new one. The best part is the new one's LCD lens broke within 3 hours. Thats really bullshit imo. Never trust Sony Ericsson. The new models at least. He even had to pay 96 bucks to replace the lens. =( poor hy. Plus he had to buy that other thing too which I would not say for my own reasons. Sony Ericsson has about a 100 customers asking for servicing on a Monday. When hy picked up this slip of paper which showed him the estimated time it said 32 mins. Mind you, its a Monday at 2pm where most people should be at work. You can imagine how much trouble these new models are giving people. I'm not saying they're bad I'm just saying they should start correcting all the faulty ones quick. We dropped by Tangs to look for a present I was gonna buy for a friend but the stuff wasn't too good so I didn't bother. PS had some changes since I had last been there, new stores selling food. lol We definitely got caught in the rain to Monstercue and back to the LAN centre which was quite a far walk away. Had to dry our hair in the bloody toilet with the damn dryer. Treated him to dinner for his birthday since i had Takashimaya vouchers. Knew he would like the Japanese food at Taka. LOL Anyway that was it. Oh yeah and I bought brownies home. I'm eating them now as I blog. =P awesome shit. hahahahaha.
